California voters have passed Proposition 47, the Associated Press has projected. That makes California the first state in the nation to “de-felonize” all drug use. Prop 47 reclassifies the possession of heroin, methamphetamine and other illegal drugs, and theft of $950 or less, as misdemeanors in the state.
We’re keeping track of election results around the country here; you may have heard that it’s been a pretty big news day, with the Republicans seizing control of the U.S. Senate from the Democrats.
